magazine reviews!?
if this is the first chapter you have
loaded you're probably a mag editor
yourself,aint that right?
okay,in this issue i've reviewed:

UPDATE #5 by DREAM

SCRIPT #11 by CLIQUE

SLOWPOKE #5 by OFFENCE

i've changed my way of giving points,so
here is a little info about it...

the points that will be given for:

'coding,design,music(s),graphics'

will all be added together and divined
by 4 to get the rating for the OUTFIT.

the points that will be given for:

'textamount,textquality,objectivity'

will all be added together and divined
by 3 to get the rating for the TEXT.
----------------------------------------
then this formula takes over:

outfit point + 2 x text point / 3

and that's how the final rating is
calculated...

SLOWPOKE is back again and here is
the review of issue 5...

.the normal offence intro is infront of.
..it so i won't tell how it looks like..

...CHAPTER SELECTION...
----------------------------------------
a hires logo swings on top of the screen
and also moves into the sideborder!
under this is a hires bar with the
text: "offence software" on it.
the rest of the screen is filled with
the chapter-select.
there are 8 small pictures surrounded
by some graphix...
each picture features a chapter which
name is printed under it...

3.CHARTS
4.INTERVIEW
5.CONTACTS
6.MIXED
7.OFFENCE
8.LAST WORDS

the current chapter flashes.
use a joystick in port 2 to control
the flashing name...
fire will activate the irq-loader.

the only thing different from the
chapter-selection part is that the
chapter-graphix have been replaced by
the upscroller...
this upscroller features several
stretch and mirror modes controlled
with space. some modes can hide the
last lines from reading!
push joy up/down to scroll text or
left/right to scroll fast...

notes:as this is the first issue for
some time,there's not too much
text in here...
the interview is very cool though,
and is in my opinion the best
chapter...
the objectivity is low as most of
the text is about "offence" and
they choose sides in a 'war'.

a "dream" and an "update" logo flash on
the screen with ugly colors!(the flash
is ugly,not the final colors!)
there's a sideborder scroll with water
reflection with under this a box
containing the 8 chapters to select:

the current chapter is flashing.
"update issue 05" sprites move over
the screen too!
fire will make the logos flash away
and then the loader (no irq) will load
the text...
if the loader aint loading the light
will flash too!

a completely new program is here which
has nothing incommen with the chapter
selection part...
some rasterbars on top of the screen
with between a logo of the current
chapter you're reading...
in every chapter will be another music
and other rastercolors...
totaly down are rasters too,with info
like 'page nr.' and other things on
them... the rest of the screen is
filled with text.
when you change page,the char will die
and rise again with the next page...
press 'h' to see the help-page!
lots of extras are present and if you
like to use the keyboard it is very
easy too....
to have a higher amount of pages (63)
the coder installed a page-packer so
the text in memory will be depacked
without loading! cool thinking!
if you return to the menu,you will
automaticly have your chapter-select
on the next chapter!

a pretty ugly "script" logo enters the
screen with a raster effect.
an 80-chars scroller flash under it.
the menu box with 16 chapters...

the screen with underneath 2 rasters
with the text between them.
on the bottom-line is the current page
and the number of pages.
also the title of the chapter is shown
(the wrong title is printed with the
ninth chapter,anti slogans!)
colorflash is activated,but the colors
remain the same color all the time.
joystick left/right will move thru the
pages,fire will leave...

notes:this mag is for lots of people,one
of their favourites and i can
understand why!
due to hardly any extras,only ctrl
to swap musics,the coding is a bit
low... the first logo 'ruins' the
high graphics mark,as the rest is
of good quality,but you can send
in your own logo and they will fit
it,if good enough ofcourse!,into
the main code!
another original thing is chapter
8.commercial break!
you can send in your commercial
for coming demos or what ever,and
if it's good enough and at the
right memory-locations,they will
publish it!
some chapters are original,but
chapter 3.charts compilation,is
just a copy of the old,dead,mag
"fair charts" which was released
by logic+vision,so not original!!

okay,that were the three magazines i've
reviewed this month and as the TEXT is
what counts for a mag,i hope you will
understand why i count the TEXT rating
twice as much as OUTFIT rating!!
well,this is the end for now...
i hope you all think i've reviewed in
a fair way,as i really tried my best!!
