i've read myself quite some articles or
opinions about votes and charts...
i will now write some text about some
things i've read...
also you can find my opinion about
some REACTIONS you've sent to us!

you might have read an article about
the socalled "COUNTRY VOTESHEET" in
the mag "INTERNAL #12" which was
written by EINSTEIN of w.o.w.
he told us about his idea of the
country-votesheet.
he said that almost all charts are
cheated in some way...
now he got the idea to let every guy
vote only for guys of the country he
lives in.
so he gave the example of belgium...
"belgian guys can only vote for dudes
that live in belgium...
so you can't vote for DOC or CRUSH
but only for POWERPLANT and other
belgian guys."
reason for this idea,was that mostly
a guy knows what is happening in his
own country.

okay,it looked like a very good idea to
me,while i was reading it.
but when i thought more about it i
found out that it's no good at all!
look,i live in holland.
can you give me 5 good dutch crackers?
these are what i could come up with:
CBA/TRC,C+C/HOTLINE (they stopped!)...
and that's it!
okay,i only have 2 dutch contacts at
the moment,but i saw some dutch cracks
from other guys,but those were nothing
special at all.
the crackergroups are just as bad!
the only thing the dutch scene is very
good at is all what's legal!
we got some of the best artists,like
HEIN DESIGN,ORC,MIRAGE,REBEL MC...
some good composers,JEROEN TEL,REYN O.
we got some nice coders too,but they
are surtenly not the best!!
for me it would be impossible to make
a fair top 5 of every category!
i have to vote for guys of which i
don't think they are good at all!!!
would this be 'fair' voting?
if i vote for SLASH/BRUTAL as one of
the best coders while i can't vote for
FLAMINGO/LIGHT...
will that be fair?
nope!!
the charts will change for sure as the
country with most scene-guys,like
germany or denmark,will be highly
representated in them while countries
with smaller scenes won't be in by any
chance!!
that would for sure make the charts
worse and not better!!
and what if a group has members all
over the globe,like LEGEND!
they got members in germany,denmark,
belgium and probably more.
this way they can get votes in all
those countries and they will rule for
sure!!!
well,i think that were enough other
details about the 'country votesheet'.
and i think if you want to make the
charts more 'fair' that you'll have to
think of something else than the
'country votesheet'...
but if you still think it's a good
idea then just do it...

most of the time when you use a disk-
voter there are allready some names
printed for which you have to give
some points. mostly it are about 25
names of crackergroups which are often
or always in the charts...
this is maybe something good as you
don't have write down the names all by
yourself,but it also makes it tougher
for the groups which are not listed to
enter the charts.
reason for this is that there's only
place for about 5 groups of your own
choise!
this means it's not possible for you
to give your own top 10 if it only
contains unlisted groups.
this isn't fair either and therefor
i want to say to all the releasers of
votesheets (disk or sheet) not to
write any groupnames in or on them!
let people make up their own minds
without seing a couple of famous names
and give points to groups/people they
didn't think of voting for anyway.
i know it's easier for you to count
the votes,but it's simply not 'fair'!

in EMANUELLE #7 was in the craptalk
chapter something about the way to
count votesheets.
the guys of WORLDNEWS had attacked
EMANUELLE by saying they stole their
counting-method.
okay,we of BRUTAL RECALL count the
votes like this...

we think this way is most fair!
i know for sure that lots of other
magazines count exactly the same as
we do,but why should we start a war
against them or say that they stole
our counting-methods.
does it really matter how you give
points???
as long as you count all votes in the
same way,the result will be the same
and points are just there to make it
easier!!
but ofcourse you can't give points
like: #1:100 #2:9 #3:8 #4:7....
this would more be something to show
which group was voted most times on
the number one spot.

please remove the BRUTAL products and
members from BRUTAL RECALL,as this
makes the chart section quite
unobjective.
you're really successful in all the
other mags in the scene,so you simply
don't have to do this!
please OMIT brutals in your mag.
just an example: if i let clique
products and members in SCRIPT,then
script is #2 mag,i am #1 swapper,
clique is always in the top 10 in
demo and crack groups,our demo is in
top 5 etc.etc...
i know that this is NOT realistic,so
i simply omit it!
please think about it,you'll loose
nothing,but you'll gain a very big
thing: objectivity!
please think about it. nearly NO mag
does this,so i guess that's something
logical! anyway,this was just one
point. the rest of the mag is so
perfect that i've got nothing else to
say. much luck in editing,i know,
your (our) job is very hard!!

here's my answer to it...
r.c.s. and i try to be as objective as
possible and so we place everybody
who is being voted for!!!
(except for some that didn't do shit
for ages!!)
now you say we should take all BRUTAL
products and members out of the charts
because that is unobjective!?!
why only the BRUTAL things??
R.C.S. of LEGEND spreads also lots of
votesheets so if i will follow your
advise,i should also omit LEGEND
members out of the lists!!!
will this be fair at all?!?!?
NO WAY! legend is one of the top crack
groups of the scene!!!
in some other mags 'BRUTAL' is even
higher in the charts than in this mag
so we are unobjective!?
because we are lower?
no! (un)objectivity has nothing to do
with the charts at all...
it has something to do with the text
and comments you write to things...
and not how much text,but how you
write the text...
if you can notice from a text that the
writer dislikes a certain group that
much then you can tell he's not
objective... but if we count the vote-
sheets and print the UNCHEATED
result,we are UNobjective??
come on!
lots of guys spread the votesheet of
this mag,i wanna thank them for that,
so it's not only brutal that spreads
them and lots of guys don't get them
from brutalers.
so should we OMIT all the groups of
which some guys spread our votesheet?
if we listen to you,we should,as you
stated that it influences from who you
got the votesheet,how you fill it in!
okay,it's up to you for who you vote
for and for who you don't!
we won't OMIT anyone that has been
active and is being voted for!!
ofcourse there are some asslickers who
vote for brutal,but i just want to
tell them that i won't and can't
remember who voted for us,so you won't
be treated in any better way than any
other person!!
sometimes i get a votesheet on which
i'm in the swapper-charts while i have
NEVER swapped with this guy!!
i surtenly have my feelings about this
sheet but i'll count it!!
also friend-policy rules the votesheet
bussines...
for instance lots of DUTCH guys voted
for BURGLAR of SUCCESS in the cracker
charts while NO FOREIGNER voted for
him at all!!
it'll count but i got myself again
some strange feelings about it!!
there are also guys that don't want to
vote for anyone in the "ELITE"....
this one just votes for the 'lamest'
things in the scene. okay,it's strange
but it counts!!
so you see,the way a chart looks all
depends on YOU!!
we just count the votes and make the
lists but we don't add anything else
to them!!!
and as long as you vote for anything
it will be printed as long as it has
enough points and has been active!!

sorry for letting me go like this,but i
simply got so sick of people that tell
me to erase BRUTAL out of the charts!
before you say anything again,please
don't tell that we should take BRUTAL
out only as LEGEND also takes a big
(almost the half) of this magazine on
them!!
and if you compare our lists with lots
of other lists you will find out that
our lists have fucking much incomen
with them!!
for the last 3 issues we had more then
150 votesheets an issue,that means
it is fucking realistic as lots of
other mags only have around 50...
(or even less!!)
and please note if anyone votes for
himself or his group it doesn't count!
just keep this in mind,so you don't
have to waste your time on faking
yourself or your group!!

i just want to say to all the voters...
"think about your votes carefully!!
compare the releases and abilities of
the ones you vote for...
simply don't give a damn about what
other people will say,just vote for
the ones you think that are best!!
especialy we know how important it is
to remain the identity of voters a
secret to the rest!!
simply because it's none of their
bussines!!!
don't be afraid to say your opinion
and stand up for yourself!!!
ignore the lamers that say that you
should vote for him or them and do
what you think is best!!!"
