Everyone knows that under the age of 18
you are not allowed to drive a car.
(except the American's that is...)
Especially not your father's old car!!!
My opinion is that you should start
driving a car before your 18th birthday.
For that reason I'll give you some
--- tips.

And now please enter the world of
traffic jams!

If you are stepping into a car for the
first time in your young life, you have
to know this: There are three pedals in
the car. Taken from the left, the first
one serves for the gear, next is the
brake and the last but not least is the
accelerator pedal. For a beginner, this
is very complex, so I want to advise
you!!!

The accelerator pedal makes speed. The
brake pedal is for cases of emergency.
When should you use the brake? If
the only thing you can see at the moment
is a tree trunk - then use the pedal
immediately! If you use it too late and
hit a tree then run away.

The thing with the gear still is not
clear for me. When you switch a gear and
you hear a strange noice, don't panic -
- after a few seconds you won't hear
that sound anymore.

With your stick - not "that" stick, but
the stick for non-English people at your
right, and for the English people at
your left - you change a gear. To make
speed you have to know that the highest
gear, the five, is for fast driving!!
But don't make the mistake when you are
at the 5th gear to go to the "R"!!! The
"R" is not for Racing but for Reverse!
Don't use the "R" when you are racing
with your dad's car, otherwise you mess
up the car's gearbox.

Driving a car is a bit boring, and so we
should think of something new. One of
the possibilities is the point-race.
It's a good solution when you drive the
same road every day (to school) - so
after a month you can compare your
results! Use the following schedule for
the game:

- hitting a tree : 10 points

- hitting another car : 15 points

- running over a dog : 20 points

- a dog behind your
wipers : 25 points

- hitting an aged person : 30 points

- running over an aged
person in a wheel chair : 35 points

- hitting a group of
playing children : 45 points

- a cyclist in two pieces : 50 points

You only get the points for a playing
group when you hit 100%, everybody dead!
The rules are not well known, you are
allowed to hit the playing group more
than one time. Try it out!!! Also you
may add 25 points as a bonus when you
hit a cyclist - but after being hit
he/she has to make a salto!

What can you do when there are some
dents in your dad's silly old car? Try
to kick the dents out. If there's a
damage on the lac, then steal some
colour pencils from your little sister.
With the pencils you can repair the lac.
If it doesn't work, blame your mother
and say to your dad: "A woman behind
the wheel." Nine times out of ten times
it works, otherwise run for your life!!!
